Meet Dr. Smith

Dr. Gerald Smith grew up in Spokane and is proud to be a third-generation resident. He began working in his father’s small business at age 7, undertaking every job from filling candy machines and janitorial to front desk customer service. Hard work and a passion for excellence and service were instilled at a young age. These traits have served Dr. Smith well in his professional career.

Dr. Smith is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles for each patient – every person is a little different and every smile is tailored to their individual needs. If that sounds a lot like different members of your family, that is why we treat you like family!

His professional education began at the University of Washington with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree followed by a four-year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors. He then completed his orthodontic residency program at the prestigious University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Smith earned a Master of Science degree and published his research in the world’s leading orthodontic journal. Dr. Smith’s passion for orthodontics and his quest to provide the best possible care for his patients led him to become one of the top 25% of orthodontists to complete the rigorous requirements of Board Certification by the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest level of professional achievement.
